I got a call from my cousin Wally in Colorado last night right as I was in the middle of heating up my Hungry-Man dinner.
He tells me that >
As election season heats up, candidates are moving into full pander mode. Thus far gas prices top the list of issues that are causing politicians of ... >

More losers
Another loser was Liberty Watch's George Harris who ended up looking like a hack for his cheap $10 donation stunt against Assemblyman Bob Beers. This Beers is an honest guy who was all but set up here.
Another loser was Jon Ozark, the carpetbagger who Harris and his buddies would like to help knock off Beers but whose campaign is clearly desperate and dead in the water if his supporters are pulling stunts like this. 26-year-old Jon Ozark wants to be a politician really badly. Ozark is a carpetbagger who grew up in California and moved to Las Vegas after college clearly with the sole intention of becoming a politician. He ran two years ago in Las Vegas and lost. Now he moved to Henderson to run again (his campaign signs don't even have the district number on them so he'll be able to use them again when he moves someplace else to run in 2010).
Wally, you already wrote that his current campaign manager is practically a pimp , but did you know his 2006 campaign was run by a man who was murdered in what was called an all-male love triangle that possibly had strong connections to the murder of the owner of a secret gay resort that was said to cater to closeted Republican politicians. This is who George Harris wants to replace Bob Beers with? At the very least, Ozark runs with an interesting crowd and uses very poor judgment. Not surprising for a young guy from California but not exactly what we usually like to vote for here in Henderson - maybe he shoulda stayed in Vegas. Re-elect Assemblyman Bob Beers. He was rated as tied for the MOST CONSERVATIVE legislator in Nevada by none other than Chuck Muth's COPAC and has been endorsed by Richard Ziser's Nevada Concerned Citizens.
Nevada Democrats not Losers
So another one of Adelson's failed campaigns is supposed to have Nevada Dems quaking in their sandals? Freedom's Watch is the least effectual 527 ever. They spent over one million dollars to lose three special elections for vacant House seats in Mississippi, Louisiana and Illinois, each Republican Districts. Their ad campaigns last year in support of the surge in Iraq did not influence public opinion one iota.
Dispelling a myth
By the way - if anyone thinks my above post attacks a "good Republican" (Ozark) in support of a "bad Republican" (Beers) lets put that to rest right now. As noted above, Beers has the highest COPAC rating in the state (tied with two others) and is endorsed by Nevada Concerned Citizens. As for Ozark - he changes ideologies about as often as he changes assembly districts.
Ozark went to college at the Ivy League’s University of Pennsylvania (Penn) from 2000 through 2004, where he, of course, was a student politician - but not the least bit conservative. He was elected to the Undergraduate Association (student council) and was an active participant and leader of Penn’s Glee Club. His accomplishments were something any liberal would be proud of:
* Ozark helped organize his Penn Glee Club’s long-desired trip to Communist China
* Ozark authored and helped pass a controversial smoking ban
* Ozark authored and helped pass a controversial closed-door-meeting rule
* He was even a member of Penn’s mysterious, elite and ultra-secret "Sphinx" Society (class of 2004)
And remember - this all happened in the last few years (mostly 2003-2004). And now he is Mr. Conservative? Give me a break.
