Fire science academy closing?

University system Chancellor Jim Rogers is not happy.  He wakes up every day, drinks a cup of coffee, and thinks about all of the reasons that he is unhappy with the performance of Gov. Jim Gibbons (R-Sparks), state Sen. Bob Beers (R-Las Vegas) and state Sen. Barbara Cegavske (R-Las Vegas).

Add another log to the fire, Chancellor.

The Fire Science Academy outside of Elko is one of only two training centers for industrial firefighting in the country.  It is swimming in debt, and it may be closed because of budget restrictions.

Rogers has been screaming for months that the inaction of the governor and legislators would cause permanent damage to our educational system.
