Molly Ball hit the Sunday press with an R-J poll that shows U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) would get a boost from having former Gov. Mitt Romney (R-MA) on his ticket.
For the lazy:
This poll confirms the common-sense rumor in Nevada, that his natural fit with the LDS population here and aggressive performance in the primary caucus has had a lasting effect. Ball writes that "Romney, a former Massachusetts governor and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, overwhelmingly won Nevada's Jan. 19 Republican caucuses, running away with 51 percent of the vote."
If Nevada follows the prediction that it will be a state with a razor-thin margin of victory, the Veep factor could make the difference.

Palin Veep
Despite the Dems and the allied main stream media’s desperation to see Romney as McCain’s Veep, Mitt is clearly out, with (1) Obama doubling down on the class warfare theme (McCain’s 7 houses) and (2) McCain doubling down with ads showing the hypocrisy of Biden attacking Obama in the primaries — Romney did way more than that contra McCain.
This leaves only Govs Sarah Palin and Tim Pawlenty. Pro-abortion Ridge and Dem-Lieberman were never real considerations, despite relentless media goading. Pawlenty’s lackluster TV performances, coupled with Palin pizzazz, the primacy of oil drilling and the ticked off women/Hillary voters, does now portend a McCain/Palin checkmate on the Dems. This is so albeit the Dems and liberal media dare not mention Palin’s name, that is, everyone but…..
And if there’s any question as to Palin being uniquely positioned and able to more than nullify Biden in debate, see the excellent discussion at palinforvp.blogspot.com
Team McCain, well done!!!

DREAM TEAM!!
Ted - do you have nothing else to say? You keep cutting and pasting the same post everywhere. Very boring and tedious.
Romney is the best choice without a doubt. He will balance the ticket, stand toe-to-toe against Biden, pick up Michigan and Western states, and be an AWESOME VP.
I would love to see a McCain/Romney ticket - it's a winning ticket!
McCain * Romney '08 - the DREAM TEAM!! :)
Romney Best Choice!
Romney is McCain's strongest choice for VP. The criticism against selecting Romney should not be worrisome to Republicans. A hefty bank account hasn’t stopped Dems from embracing Kerry, Edwards, and the Kennedy's - among others. Voters care about a candidate’s capability and concern for them more than about the size of their wallet. Romney's comments about McCain aren't nearly as damaging as the comments Hillary and Biden made about Obama. As for Romney's religion, anyone who would use that as a reason to exclude him from serious consideration for VP is a bigot. Romney will deliver Nevada and Colorada - perhaps even Michigan - and though not perfect, will best match up against Biden in debates and in leadership experience. The fact that he is not a Washington insider is a definite plus! Most importantly, no one on either ticket has the much needed economic expertise that Romney has. I hope McCain will rally the conservative base and choose Romney. If he goes with Lieberman, I'll vote for the most conservative candidate on the ballot (won't be McCain) and wait until 2012 when the country will be crying out for a true economic and social conservative.
Are you mad?
I find it amazing that the public eye has completely forgotten the love lost between Romney and McCain. Has everyone forgotten about the hate campaigns on both sides? There's too many differences in Washingtoh already...don't we need our Pres and Vice Pres to get along? Check these out if you don't believe what I'm saying...McCain on Romney
