Romney to the rescue?
By Wally EdgeIf recent polling is any indication, Libertarian presidential candidate Bob Barr could make a dent in U.S. Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) vote total in Nevada.
Anjeanette Damon reports that some in the state are touting former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney (R) as a vice presidential running-mate, suggesting he could help McCain secure the state.
"Romney is a no-brainer," said Ryan Erwin, a Republican consultant from Las Vegas who advised Romney’s Nevada campaign. [...] "Romney takes this state from a slight lean-Republican to a heavy lean-Republican."
