RE: ROBERT DASKAS
Dear Mr. Martin,
It was recently brought to my attention that you may not fully understand the political tradition of getting, keeping, and then giving away political power. The formula works something like this:
1. When in the minority, take advantage of scandal after scandal on the other side and use that as an opening for your side to gain control.
2. Once you have gained control, raise serious amounts of money and invest it in voter registration, good staff and political infrastructure in order to sweep the other side completely out of power. Keep your team united and focused in order to maximize your dominance in a year when you can crush the other side.
3. Once comfortably in power, advance your agenda and start to get lazy. Take the fact that you are in control for granted and fool yourself into the feeling that you are invincible.
4. While lazy, leave an opening for power-hungry infighting within your own party in order to open the door for the other side.
5. Repeat from step 1, but with the opposite party.
Please note that your party is now on step 2. Step 4 simply will not work before you complete steps 2 and 3.
Feel free to drop me a line with any questions.
Sincerely,
Wally Edge
