Lorenzo Fertitta is leaving Station Casinos to work full-time with the UFC. Yahoo! news has the story here.

For the lazy: Frank Fertitta will still run Station Casinos, but Lorenzo is going to UFC full-time to take the brand worldwide. He is now talking in terms of the 350 million men in India who are in their target age range for new audience members but have never had the pleasure of having Mr. Fertitta introduce them to the UFC.

Many will drop their jaws in disbelief that Lorenzo Fertitta would walk away from the number two highest paid casino job that fetched over $113 million last year alone.

For the lazy: UFC was a $2 million initial investment in 2001, but after a few years and and an additional $50 million(ish) invested, the UFC brand has become the NFL of MMA (mixed martial arts) with current value of over $1 billion.
