Baldwin to stay on ballot

The omnipresent Anjeanette Damon has the ball for the follow-up on the AD 30 court challenge to Trent Baldwin's residency.

For the lazy: Assemblywoman Debbie Smith was not able to have Baldwin removed from the ballot, but the judge said that Smith was in the right to ask the question because there was "good cause to question whether there should be a disqualification."

Smith challenges Baldwin residency

Assemblywoman Debbie Smith is challenging the candidacy of her Republican opponent Trent Baldwin in court, saying he does not live in District 30.

Baldwin argues that a home purchase in the district fell through earlier this year and that he has a rented room as a stopgap until he can close on another house.
