Gibbons does the right thing

AP's Brendan Riley is reporting that Governor Gibbons is backing off of his calls for the three doctors to resign from the medical board, and will instead appoint three temporary members to hear this case.

I thought he would ride this ship down based on stubbornness alone, and I was wrong.  Although the Lefties would love for me to kick him for backing off, I won't.

Most of us either don’t know anything about the Hippocratic oath, or at most we know that it is something with ancient roots that doctors say when they graduate from medical school.

Health Crisis, Vol. 2: The Lawyers

And I thought political commercials were annoying.

If any of you own a television, odds are you’ve seen the tsunami of trial attorney commercials soliciting potential victims of the health crisis.  This is to be expected, annoying as it is.  But the disturbing news is the report that people are being told not to cooperate with investigators by their attorneys.  read more »

Sunshine for Gibbons lost in medical crisis

No one seems to have noticed, but Governor Gibbons did something right this week.  Gibbons signed the Nevada Open Government Initiative yesterday, making Nevada the fourth state in the union to have such a program.

Reid steps into the feud

This fight is moving fast and changing by the minute.  According to an interview with Jeff Gillan at NewsONE, Sen. Reid has now stepped in and is saying that the medical board members should not resign, but should instead recuse themselves.  

 

It's a good point.  Resignation is a de-facto admission of wrongdoing, not a conflict of interest.
