Report: 75,000 in Clark County by 10:30

Elections officials are estimating that 75,000 people had turned out to the polls in Clark County today by 10:30, Jon Ralston is reporting in his Ralston Flash.

With 434,000 people in the state already voting early or by mail, turnout is now over the 500,000 mark.

Clark County joins tax lawsuit

Clark County has joined the challenge to the Nevada Supreme Court opinion in the Nugget case. The court recently ruled that comped food is not taxable, potentially impacting $100 million in state revenue.

All of those challenging are arguing that the decision should be reconsidered because the tax revenue reduction comes at a particularly bad time with the current budget deficit and will cripple local government.

NO LOVE IN THIS REVOLUTION

After my reflections on the Romney campaign, I think t's important to show that I'm an equal opportunity offender. And our second place finisher in Nevada is looking to stir the pot this spring at the Clark County and State GOP conventions in some newsworthy ways.

A letter recently went out from the local campaign reps to the delegates suggesting some cloak-and-dagger tactics that aim to confuse and misdirect the delegate process.
