Dems (and a few Republicans) protest McCain in Reno

McCain protestors flash signs in downtown Reno.: Politicker Photo.McCain protestors flash signs in downtown Reno.: Politicker Photo.RENO-While John McCain was speaking at a town hall meeting in Reno, the other side of town saw slightly more than 50 Northern Nevadans protesting his visit and the continuing Iraq War.

"The idea is that as McCain's visit is reported, the other side is presented also," said Chris Wicker, chairman of the Washoe Democratic Party, who helped organize the protest.  "We're out here so that people represent that the ‘Straight Talk Express' is really the ‘Pretzel Talk Express.'"

Although most of the protesters were Democrats, several Ron Paul signs were seen among the crowd, one held by Juanita Cox, chairwoman of the Storey County Republican Party.
