Harry Reid and George W. Bush were both upside-down in an October poll
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid continues to struggle for the approval of Nevada voters. In an October 15 Mason-Dixon poll conducted by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Reid had an upside-down 32%-51% favorable rating -- which means Nevadans don't view Reid much differently than they view President George W. Bush, who has an upside-down favorable rating of 34%-54%.
The most popular Nevada politician, according to the poll, is Republican U.S. Senator John Ensign, who had a 51%-19% favorable rating -- something potential GOP presidential candidates might notice if they are looking for a running mate from a swing state.
Governor Jim Gibbons was viewed as favorable by 30% of Nevada voters and unfavorable by 29%. Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman had a statewide favorable rating of 42%-17%.
