Kihuen's Clinton endorsement

Assemblyman Ruben Kihuen, who will formally endorse Hillary Clinton for President at a rally at his old high school on Saturday morning, posted his endorsement of the Senator from New York on the Clinton campaign website today:

After months of working with all the presidential campaigns and speaking with many of the candidates running for our country's highest office, I am proud to endorse Hillary Clinton for president.

Hillary is running a top-notch campaign in Nevada, devoting the staff and resources needed to organize the diverse communities across the state. Her staff is representative of Las Vegas' diversity, and bilingual organizers are able to share Hillary's vision for America with the cities' growing Hispanic population.

I'll never forget Hillary's visit to my district this past August to the home of Jose and Maria Espinoza. She was passionate when speaking about the changes that need to be made to our health care and education system, issues that deeply affect members of my district. Hillary has also always stood by comprehensive immigration reform to strengthen our borders and put some of America's hardest workers on the path to citizenship.

My constituents have told me time and again how excited they are about Hillary's candidacy. She gives them hope about how our political system can positively change all of our lives. This message of hope and change is something that I have strived to communicate in central Las Vegas, and it is something Hillary brings to working families across the country.

There is a reason why so many Nevadans are getting behind Hillary in the run up to the Nevada caucus on January 19th. She is simply the best candidate for the job. She is intelligent and a great listener - compassionate but strong. Most importantly, I know that when elected, Hillary will fight for my community here in central Las Vegas, and she won't back down when the going gets tough.

Hillary is running a great grassroots campaign here in the Silver State. I'm excited to bring my constituents together to caucus for Hillary, and advise her campaign on reaching out to Las Vegas' Hispanic communities.

Hillary will be back in my district this weekend, at the high school I graduated from, to speak about her vision for change and what we can do to help ensure a Hillary victory in Nevada. I invite you to join us at Rancho High School, this Saturday, November 17th at 10:45 to hear for yourself why Hillary is the best candidate for president.
