Washington, DC- Congressman Porter released the following statement today after the Department of Veterans Affairs announced a $1.8 million grant for the State Veterans Home in Boulder City:
"Since my days on the Boulder City Council we have made our veterans home a priority. I am pleased that the VA is providing the facility with the needed renovations to ensure that our veterans continue to enjoy only the very best. Southern Nevada has some of the finest facilities and services in the nation and we are continuously looking for ways to improve the network of hospitals, clinics, cemeteries and retirement homes. The $1.8 million honors a long-standing commitment we have made in Nevada to care for all of those who have proudly served in uniform."
