McCain: No politics
How do you stop being political at a political convention?
McCain campaign senior adviser Charlie Black told the Nevada delegation at lunch that that’s exactly what the nominee wants them to do.
“John McCain’s been a personal friend of mine for over 30 years,” he said. “I don’t think I’ve ever, in thousands of conversations, I don’t think I’ve ever had a conversation with him where we didn’t talk about politics one way or another -- until today.” (Review Journal, Molly Ball)

Lieutenant governor to report from Republican National Convention
Nevada Lieutenant Governor Brian Krolicki will join thousands this week in St. Paul, Minn., the site of the GOP National Convention.

Candidates for Carson City mayor and supervisors will debate this week in the first major forum since the primary narrowed the fields earlier this month.
Six candidates had run for mayor and five for Ward 4 supervisor. Since there were only two candidates that filed for Ward 2 supervisor, that race went straight to the general election. (Nevada Appeal, Dave Frank)
