U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) will campaign at a Henderson high school Friday on behalf of her former rival, U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), the Obama camp said Wednesday.
Clinton is scheduled to appear at a campaign rally beginning at 11 a.m. at Green Valley High School. The Obama campaign is using the event to jump start a voter registration drive over the weekend.
Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, lost the Nevada caucus to then-rival Clinton in January. After a protracted primary race ended in May, Clinton has made a number of recent public appearances stumping for Obama.
Recent polls suggest the Illinois Democrat is in a position to take Nevada -- a state that traditionally has gone to the GOP -- in his general election bid against U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).
Clinton's appearance is open to the public and to the press. Tickets are required for the event and will be available for free Wednesday and Thursday at the locations listed below.
